MONDAY
Arrive at our accommodation. Dinner & rest.
TUESDAY
Introduction to Jamaican life and Culture. We try local food at the Boston Bay Jerk Center. We spend the afternoon on the Beach.
WEDNESDAY
We will visit the UNESCO world heritage site: Blue & John Crow mountain National Park. We will learn about the maroons who fought and resisted slavery. One of the national Heroes of Jamaica - Nanny of the Maroons founded the community Moore Town. We will visit the community that still exists today. There we will find Nanny’s grave site and a short hike up the mountain we’ll find NANNY FALLS.
On the way to Moore Town we will pass Seamans Valley - an important location where battles took place between Maroons & colonial military.
THURSDAY
Kingston visit. We will take a trip to Jamaicas Capital - KINGSTON. Our first activity in Kingston is a dance class in Traditional Jamaican Folk forms. After class we will tour the National Heroes park and look at the murals in the Art District in Downtown Kingston.
FRIDAY
Pick 2 out of 3:
1. Hike Reach Falls.
2. Dip in the Blue Lagoon.
3. Snorkle at Turtle Bay.
SATURDAY
Rest day. Optional extra activity: Frenchman’s Cove.
SUNDAY Check out.
Time to move location. Next up -> Dancehall Mecca Festival.
